Alcohol and drug addiction recovery can be very overwhelming at times, especially when a person has a desire to quit, but feels trapped by the idea that recovery is like a huge looming mountain that is almost impossible to climb.
The truth is… with the right approach and the right belief system, anything can be achieved!
Substance abuse often has a very negative stigma attached to it. And many people believe that very few people recover. Well… I’m here to encourage you that lasting permanent recovery is something that is very achievable!
I’m by no means denying that the recovery process isn’t challenging. I’m saying with a positive proactive approach, a different outlook, a belief in oneself, and a belief that “you can recover”, anything can be achieved!
It’s not so much what others believe about recovery, it’s what you believe about recovery that matters, and believing that you have a great future ahead of you!
Is recovery challenging? Of course….
Is recovery achievable? Yes!
Can you rebuild your life? Yes!
Can you make a difference in this world?
The answer is “yes you can!”
I was addicted to drugs and alcohol for 15 years, and I’m excited to testify that I’ve been sober for the past 17 years, and loving life! In 2014 I was inspired to write a book as a testimony of my personal journey in recovery, as well as the practical principles that have kept me sober all these years. It’s a very practical approach to recovery, and can help anyone who wants to overcome addiction. It is also a source of useful information for anyone who is wanting to help someone else recover from addiction.
Helping others with their recovery journey is something I’m very passionate about because addiction is something I struggled with for 15 years. I understand the many challenges and pit falls that people face when trying to break free from a life of addiction. Permanent recovery is something that is very achievable. With the right plan, and a proactive approach, anything is possible!
I believe, as a recovered addict I have a responsibility to share my story and tell people that there is a way out of addiction, and that they can recover!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
